I have a vast collection of older & vintage PCs. Can custom build all kinds of stuff.
My 98, XP & 7 installs have every patch possible & then some extra quality of life fixes and such for maximum compatibility & stability.
Some examples of systems that I regularly build for folks.
- Customized Gaming Deluxe DOS - includes a nice newer Pentium 3 or 4 tower generally for high speed, Windows 98SE, a good graphics card & a Soundblaster audio card with special Soundblaster 16 emulation drivers built in. This system lets you play pretty much any game that is compatible with Windows 95/98, plus a wide range of DOS games are playable with full sound right in Windows as well.
*Have a collection of thousands of DOS games.
- True DOS - These systems are the very old & rare variety, Pentium 1 through 3 era systems with ISA cards and a real Soundblaster 16 or similar audio card. These systems are designed to play DOS games in actual DOS mode on true original era hardware. Can play in 98 easily or for games that have better sound in DOS or don't run well in 98, you have a fully customized real DOS mode & real hardware available. A nice custom menu is already set up with drivers integrated to easily choose various driver & memory modes for different games & I can also include a large library of DOS games including Doom, Heretic, Duke Nukem 3D, Alone in the Dark & many, many, many more (over 3000). For the genuine experience.
- Custom Gaming Deluxe DOS + Retro Consoles - These take more effort to build and have a dual boot of 98SE & Windows XP. They have a similar hardware setup and all of the same capabilities of the "Gaming Deluxe DOS" systems but also include a huge library of SNES, Genesis & Nintendo games along with 2 controllers all set up & ready to go. (The libraries of SNES, Genesis & Nintendo are pretty much complete with every US title ever released and then some.) *These are not cheap
-98/XP dual boot or XP/7 dual boot
- Industrial, Embroidery or other purposes - I have built many for folks to use with CNC tables, Embroidery machines, an Apple picker for a local orchard & lots of others that required a relatively simple windows 95/98 system.
- Also have high speed 98SE laptops & dual monitor systems as well.
-When pure speed is desired for 98 I have some desktops that were never remotely intended for 98 but I have made work with Core 2 Duo processors & Sata drives.
Have laptops that can do all of these things as well, quite a lot more rare & higher cost.
Interested? Text and I will call you back (I get way too many robocalls so I often only respond if I see an obvious real human has texted me). Much better to have a quick phone conversation for these things, I just have to screen my calls basically. Please bear in mind these kinds of systems are rare & I have spent many years perfecting my setups. Industrial generally start around $300 to $400 and price goes up from there for gaming.
