1973 casting 3698830-440-6 date 9-15-72, J10 stamp; 3014605 stamp code cleaned and checked out. has a nickel size rust spot mild pitting at the bottom in two cylinders (6, 8) that will need a cast ring used or .040 or a .060 over cut where some water sat during storage otherwise looks good. rest of cylinder walls are fine, just the two mild spots. cast rings would be best if you want to build it as-is. It was a running engine purchased, but the new buyer wanted to check and install main studs instead of main bolts originally used. building one for my car and don't need this one. mid 1968-1975 years are thick blocks with the additional side stiffening ribs and the best ones to build. was a running engine taken in trade. $800 obo.
