The Opportunity

The 3rd Shift Quality Control Position is responsible for inspecting incoming merials, audits work in process and finished goods to assure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

 

Hours: Mon - Fri, 10:30pm - 7am (overtime and weekends as needed)

Pay Re: $19.50/hr

 

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock packaging solutions: 

• Inspect incoming merials to assure conformance with specificions and release merials for use in production.
• Audit assembly lines during the production process ensuring compliance with work order specificions, and th the finished product meets customer requirements.
• Verify compliance with cGMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Opering Procedures).
• Review, approve and release production paperwork in order to facilite customer shipments.
• Communice paperwork issues to operions, if necessary.
• Record da for internal analysis of finished goods.
• Communice with Project Managers and Customers, if necessary.
• Communice Company policies, procedures, and customer requirements to other WRMD employees and to participe/assist in their development as needed.
• Participe in and/or assist with internal QA audits, Customer audits, and Regulory Agency audits as required.
• Assist with and/or conduct cGMP training, if requested. 
• Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Evalues the ability of employee to produce superior products or services, meeting all specificions and expections, free of errors or waste. Includes accuracy, following correct procedures, such as, GMP, SOP, ISO requirements, performing all quality checks, complete and legible documention.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Overtime is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

wh you need to succeed:

• High school diploma or GED minimum.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, opering and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizion
• proficient Microsoft Office computer skills
• Preferred 2 or more years of experience in Quality role
