1973 Opel Manta & Parts

This is a rare opportunity to own one or more of these great looking GM-made German cars which were sold at Buick dealerships in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974 & 1975.

I'm helping a friend sell these three Opel Mantas that he has preserved in dry storage for many many years.
All offers will be considered but he wants to sell at a price that is fair to the buyer and also to himself (in other words they will not be sold for scrap value).

These now unique cars are known for their excellent reliability, attractive styling and superb handling.
There is very good support in the U.S. for these cars with a very enthusiastic owners group forum at OpelGT.com and parts for these are available from:
OpelGTSource.com
I have their Manta catalog & you can check it out online here:

One car runs but has not been licensed in about four or five years, the other has not run in many years but looks to be original and complete, the third is an incomplete but is a solid "parts" car.

1974 Opel Manta - Burgundy
$7,000
This is a running & driving car that has not been licensed for the last few years. It has a 1.9L engine with an automatic transmission plus it looks great inside and out. It appears to have been repainted by a previous owner and it has held up very well. Note that the stock large aluminum “park bench” bumpers have been replaced with the rather expensive and more attractive chrome bumpers ($740 on eBay).

Project 1973 Opel Manta - Copper
$2,500
This car seems complete & mostly in original stock condition with a 1.9L four cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. The odometer says 78,000 miles most likely the actual total milage from new. It still has its original Solex carb & set of keys.
It appears very solid and there is some of the usual battery acid corrosion of the battery tray. It looks like someone backed into something so the left side of the rear bumper is pushed into the left quarter panel. It has not been started in years

Parts Car - 1973. Opel Manta - White $1,500
This appears very solid but is incomplete, see pics for condition.

Additional parts are available for additional cost but only with purchase of one or more of these cars:
Parts to Convert to 4 speed (Clutch pedal; Cluth Cable, tube & weight; Shifter; used Transmission, etc)
Opel GT Source “Big brake kit” (new)
New frame rail
1975 “Sprint” exhaust manifold
Original Opel dealer installed AC
Tach & instrument cluster
Dash
Webber carb
Rear bumper
Engine gasket set
Shocks
Radiator
Front air dam (new)
Brake shoes (new)
Brake rotors (new)

Interior parts
Misc Opel parts
